I read the posts from years ago just now, so kind of changing my mind a bit now on how I mount them. I kind of like the idea of mounting to the body only, just reinforce fiberglass and use large washers behind. Anyone have any pictures they would like to share, the posts are so old no pictures show up. Thanks

I like attaching to frame. Call it an additional body mount!

I built a cross member out of two pieces of 2" x 1/8" strap and glassed it into the floor of my tub right at the bend at the top of the kick up. It serves as a frame mount and allows an anchor point for seat belts and the seat latches.

Mine are mounted to a small crossmember at the top of the kick-up .

There is no mounting points below the floor (gas tank) So what I was thinking was bolting to the body, and then make a mount on the back side (remember touring body) from those points to the cross member between the frame rails, the body is so thin in that area
