Tiger Hair/ Fiberglass

I am reworking a cowl for my c-cab. It has some voids that have beem repaired with tiger hair. My question is can I fiberglass over the tiger hair?

THANKS George

Absolutely! Tiger Hair is simply a polyester filler (originally made by Evercoat I believe) that has glass strands within the solids. You can definately apply a polyester resin based mat or cloth over this substrate with no problem.

Yep, and as with any fiberglass repair, you will want to wipe it with acetone first, then scuff it with some sandpaper, and wipe it down again with more acetone. Resin cures by wax rising to the surface, so you need to remove that wax for good adhesion.
