Just plain Hmmmm.

MAYBE, it is a spare so when one engine blows the other kicks in and wins him the race!:roflmao:

Some guys just want to be different.

Jim

I think that was a Bonneville car and was being tested on the quarter. IIRC the driver was killed at Bonneville in the same car.

Could be wrong. John

Actually it really is a dragster and it was a bit longer then it looks. I have another picture of it and will post it later as I don't have my back up drive with me right now. Didn't see anything about a crash or death but that's very possible.

Well I told you I would post a second picture of this unusual all wheel drive dragster. According to what I found the car was driven by Noel Black. I never saw anything in regards to it crashing but it might have. I know it was crazy looking but so were many other cars of the day. It was guys like this that would try any and everything to go fast. Some good and some bad but it was all information and experience for those that followed. Enjoy.

The car was called the rhinoceros. It indeed was designed and driven by Noel Black. Was not a drag car. Land speed attempt, car rolled @ approx. 390 mph. Unfortunately Black was killed.

OR go to Google, look up Noel Black, go 4 pages into Noel Black, see Noel Black/Rhinoceros.
Should be landracing.com blah, blah, blah.

My apologies, my computerese is not the best.

John,

Thanks for the information. Here is a link to more information and several pictures for anyone that is interested. If I get a chance later tonight I'll try and repost the same picture I have.
