9" rear-end lengths?

what length rear end is everyone running, wheel size and offset, and tire size. Just doing some research

I'm using a 66 Bronco housing, narrowed to 55" overall width (outside to outside) with the pinion CENTERED. 86 E-150 31 spline ( big bearing) axles resplined to fit with the 5 on 5 1/2" bolt patern retained simply because it was cheap.
Using the 86 E-150 big drum brakes.
Wheels are 10X15 Paulsens with std (?) offset, I think it's 3 1/2 ". I have about 1 1/2" or a little more clearence between the tires sidewalls and the rear "Sport Deck" on the CCR wide door body ..... "BH"

when i put 4-wheel disk systems on i use the early 70's chevy manual disk/disk master cylinder.. the corvette one is a good one and its what i will usually use, camaro's and nova's had them also..

i run residual valves and also a proportioning valve..

With a residual valve on the front my Wilwoods drag.I took the valve out and it works good now no drag the valve holds the presure on the wilwoods and they wont release.

as far as rearend width goes...

from tubbing out a few vehicles in the past, i would suggest getting wheels and tires first, then you know your backspacing, and that will get you your final rearend width..

with what i,ve measured on my T you can go anywhere from 56inches to about 65 inches depending on your wheels backspacing and overall width..

i have 15x10's with 5 inch backspacing a 11 inch section width on the tires and i went with a 57inch wide rear. when you start figuring out the space between the tires on the rear.. you take your overall width of the rear, subtract 1/2 your section width 2 times to get your width between the back tires.

in my case its 57-11=46.. so the width of my bed will be around 44 inches wide.. might even go 42 wide for a lil more clearance and that will give me a lil more options on backspacing if i go to a wheel like a 15x14.. i have to make a steel bed so i can make my width whatever i want..

thats another thing when i get wheels i always try to get centered backspacing makes figuring stuff easier :) ie: 15x10 with 5 inch backspace..

it really depends on what tires ya got and what size wheelz and backspace ya got. I had Moser cut me a housing 60 1/2" and I told them to center the housing NOT the pinion. Figured a centered housing would like much better with a buggy spring. Also got Moser axle. My first set of Centerline ConvoPros were 15x15 with 5" backspace. My current AR Torque Thrust II's are 15x14 with 6" backspace. And I got 18/34x15 American Racer dirttrackers.

Here is a sketch I drew up a long time back.
