A New Engine Just Walked Into My Life!

I know some of you guys are really into the old school stuff.......I know I am..................customer just walked in.............parting out his old front engined digger........mid 60's era. Guy down in Tx. bought the chassis less engine...............he just walked in 30 minutes ago.......came into my office.....saw my blown smallblock.......asked what it was going in........I said a T-Bucket. He grinned really big..........I've sold my nastolga dragster.......got a really great deal on the money for it..........I'm buying a AA/FA from this guy in Co.........I'll trade engines with you right here and now!!!!!!!

Ready?????????????? A 392 Hemi, blown with Hilborne Injection, 4 hole 'bugcatcher', Vertex Magneto..........Stroker crank.............just tame it down for the street a little......................well, gonna pull the pan and valvecovers, order a few things thats gonna need replacing..........and gotta find a trans for this...............good thing I built a 9" Ford!

Yea Rooster....got a good deal on it.....the Injection systems gotta go....it junk....just tore it down......let another racer rebuild it. Gonna run 2-4's......crank is one of those old welded up and regrind offcenter custom jobs.....got stress cracks all over it......... got a fresh steel stock stroke one coming..........cam and valvetranes history.......... trading it and the injection system to a friend in Ca. for a rebuilt torqueflight trans......................everything else looks good.........piston and rods are next..............gotta mic the bores now..............check back later.........

Got the block vatted, heads stripped and vatted also.....seats reground, valves ground........heads back together.......
All I'm waiting on is the crank and the cam........a fairly warm blower cam, should be here by friday, by the latest........I'm gonna run 10% underdrive on the blower, 2-670's vaccuum secondarys, Big tube headers, MSD 6AL Ignition.......rest of the engine is gonna be fairly stock..........
Its 11:45 here.........been going at it for almost 12 hours straight......once the crank and cam are here, she'll be running in about 3 1/2 Hours.......I'll run her in on the engine stand.....let that fresh paint cook.............I'll be gone tomorrow from the boards till I got this puppy run in for a hour, (cam break-in period).......if all the parts get here..........

I'm gonna go into the office and sleep now.................

I've tried doing the vid and posting pics.....it won't let me do it......I guess I'm kinda computer illiterate..............it wouldn't even let me post any pics..........awe well.......I'm not suppossed to let folks see all the stuff in the shop anyway..........ya'll know how the racers are.........

Saturady....had to pull the crank out of the motor....seems its got align bore issues.........stripped everything back out.....the blocks on a pallet strapped down for a trip to the machine shop...........everyone will see it at the Bash.....................
