Well, here is the 2012 Dallara Automobili chassis, dressed for an oval race and a road course race.

Dallara's estimated price tag is a reduced :wow: $349,000 for the chassis, and one set of suspension components. At that price, there will be no seat or steering wheel. The bonus comes along when you can use the same chassis components for both ovals and road courses. What a relief, right? :faint:
 
Wow.. that's quite a radical design change from what's been out there for the past several years. looks more like a Formula 1 design. I don't know what a typical Indy chassis costs, but I doubt that one will do anything to help keep the costs down (assuming it's the "must have" chassis of the year. Indy racing is gasping for air as it is, without raising the bar yet again.

Well with this housing market as it is , the rich are getting a whole lot richer, buying up $200.000 to $400.000 homes for $50.000 cash and instantly renting them out, for $1400 plus... So goes it with race car owner's, not to worry, They take 3 at a time, with all the bells attached... :)
