anybody used loctite freeze

i've used nitrogen to do the same thing before..

but not the loctite brand of stuff.. same theory though.. i would try it if needed, loctite stuff usually works good..
 
Here is what I do to remove too tight studs, say in an exhaust manifold, heat the bolt itself, then let it cool and now shrink, as it was compressed up against the manifold, now when it cools it will be a bit smaller, I then use penatrating fluid/oil, and a vice grip, move the vice grip slowly in each direction, a small amount, things will loosen up and then back out fine, this has worked great ever since I learned to do it this way, from another old guy.. I used to heat the wrong part, the manifold, I was wrong as that really makes it tighter to the bolt... hehe :welcome:
