but i gotta figure the right axle width and back space and all to fit the average t body before i can can make the purchase, i can make my current body fit anything, gotta start saving for the next project :)

t bucket plans link these are from youngster

ty putz and youngster lots of good info there, really liking the idea of using the tie rod ends for the hairpins, live on a country road so i'm shure it'll see lots of backroad driving, but i'm guessing to fully use the 7 degree taper there needs to be a weld in insert around an inch thick on the 3/8 brackets?

and i plan building this beefy, xmembers at motor, tranny and maybe at top of kickup, is ther a possibility the the frame will be too rigid and maybe wanna crack instead of flex?

Speedway has a button with the 7 degree taper in it part# 916-36502. Or a triangular piece part# 916-36503.

Well, I guess you could definitely overbuild it and weld it with the wrong welding rods. I'm fairly new to the Steering & body stuff of the T's, but I've got enough experience with altereds to kinda comphensate....well....almost. My first fiasco on my car was my exhaust system that I gotta redesign. I could be heard about 2 miles before I got there....my puppydog was not a happy camper...the open cutouts was quieter.

That being said, if you follow Ted and Youngsters advice, I'm sure Ron will drop in, he makes frames, I believe. Mine is made from 2x3 3/16 rect. tubing, and at the Z's in the rear I have 3/16 cheekplates welded in for extra strength. I have mine overbuild quite a bit because of the 392 Hemi, a turbo 400 and a ford 9" rear. Weight is a good bit heavier. plus the roads here in Oklahoma haven't improved that much from the horse and buggy days, since the oilfield trucks keep the roads here horrible.
All the guys here know their stuff, and I've learned alot just by sitting on the sideline keeping my big trap shut and listening! Haha...anyway, Between Younster, Ted and Ron, just to mention a few, you've got enough experience here to build a real showpiece!

Your checks in the mail Screamin....

Ron

Yea Youngster, I hear ya....those plans with dimension helped me out big time...plus doing the bracket templates on a printer....man you made it easy!!!

Like they say, You really can't over build it, just don't get any extra stuff in the way of anything important, weight will not hurt the looks and will probably help the ride, as most of the T Buckets you see, have way more spring than needed... Have fun with your build, take your time and plan all the way to the end, even before you are close to the end, no fun doing things over when it is in the way of something else that is now needed, if you get my drift... :egypt:

got the motor pieced back together today and got her fired up, ole lady is difently wanting to run me outa the house now lol
