blower on tunnel ram

I don't know, but I still like blower surge like that ! :D It might not be the most efficient way to set up a motor, but it sure wows the troops. Every year when we go to Turkey Run there are a bunch of blown prostreet type cars that come out to Bellaire Plaza every night and they sound just like that. It is like parting the Red Sea when they pull in, the crowds are all over them.

Don

Don, it's not a point of efficiency, it's about not being able to tune a bicycle and being excessively hard on parts as a result. I just don't see the wow factor in abusing expensive engine components.

I'll shut up and go away. :speechless:

Mike, there's a wealthy guy here that shows up with a nice Model A and huge BBC with bad carb tuning, blower surging like crazy, and folks just LOVE it.

I once pointed out that with a little tuning, we could get that lean/rich/lean/rich surge under control, but he said, "It won't turn heads anymore then..." I pointed out all it takes is a little foot action to make the idle go up and down if that's the noise he wants to make.

People think it's supposed to sound like that. Poorly tuned engines turn heads.

ok....am i the only one who thinks that besides the engine this bucket is a mess? from the arm coming out of the strange shape hole in the cowl, the strange looking flame job , the huge seats, AND THE FLOATING TURTLE DECK! lol sorry for the caps :) the deck is at a huge slope angle and does not look like it is attached to the body.....or i might be crazy :)

A friend of mine built a 598 cid A-headed BBF with a 14-71 on top of a tunnel ram. It was a beast and made 1842 hspr with 10lb of boost. I wish i had a picture of that motor.

I built the tunnel ram setup for blown-t and 18 other people. My Mustang wheel stander had a tunnel ram blower setup on methanol with 610in FORD. Never had any problems with them. I have also built 2 blower manifolds.
