When I was a youngster I made shocker for my first car out of a model T- coil . It gave a pretty good jolt.

They still do!! Back when I was young, I'd load up a condenser and toss it to someone just to see them drop it and cuss me out.

That's cruel! lol When I was in electronics school, I would load up capacitors and leave them lay in the lab. My intent was to cure the scavengers from steeling supplies. It didn't work, but it was entertaining.

I remember the hard way that one should discharge the picture tube before working on a CRT tube TV. That was about 50 years ago.
