Coil over shock placement

First off the gas tank and AMC motor mounts you made for me are great. Currently I am setting up my rear axle. I have the lower mounts at 43 1/2 in center to center on a 26 1/2 in wide frame yealding a 35 deg angle. Will this work or should I move them closer together? I can move them 2 1/2 or 3 in per side. I am using coil overs and upper and lower mounts I got from you.

Well it might work, but that is not what we do. We mount the radius rod brackets 3" either side of the frame and the shock brackets 4 1 /2" either side of the frame. Moving them farther out will lower the frame in relation to the axle, and the ground. It will also make it ride softer, and you could possibly need a stronger spring.

Thanks Ron I thought it looked a little too wide. I will follow your suggestion and move them in.
