Coil Over Shocks

How far should the springs be compressed on these shocks? Is it just personal preference? Ride around and check out ride and adjust as needed?

Pretty much that is it. Just screw the bottom adjusting rings sort of midway in their travel when you build the mounts that way you will have adjustment up or down if you find the car settles or needs raising or lowering later on.
