Cone spacers

I use them. Hubba, look at my gallery. I'm doing 4-bar all around. Others have used Heims for this application; others use elastomer bushings. Both ways are based on sound engineering principles. Which one is "Better" is a matter of opinion. I'll probably hear about that.

 You are doubtless correct, but what you hear will be polite observation and opinion.

This what I like to hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:kiltdance:

I use them and have made my own 'cones'. NO problem with hemi's. If they are good enough for Helicopters, they are good enough for me. BUT its wise to inspect them on a regular basis as they do wear. A loose hemi is not good news. In fact they are like some of the opposite sex, High maintenance

mr bill how wide is your front frame and how wide is the batwings on the inside?

Frame is 26-1/2 at front, 27-1/2 at the radius rod mount location, batwing inside dimension spacing is 29-1/2. The front axle is from RPM; the frame is a Spirit 27T. I designed 4-bar mount plates which RPM made for a very reasonable cost. I used the hairpin rod mount hole in the frame as a locator for the plates. As for Heim joints, I got the heavy duty ones from Midwest Control Products; the MXM series.

my mount on the frame is going to be 27 1/4 wide. how long is your bars? i got rpm to cut me two 29 inches and two 29 1/4 inches long. When i get them i will see what i got to do with my batwings.

My bars are 26-3/4 long. I had to shorten the 27-1/2 bars that I ordered from RPM in order to get some adjustment on the rod ends. The bar length will depend on where you put the frame located brackets.

Haven't driven it yet. Right now it's all apart being painted. Hope to have the rolling chassis complete by the end of the month. I do not have a front pan hard bar at this time. From what I've read here, the prevailing opinion is that they are not really necessary with traditional steering and a front leaf spring. I can always add one should I notice too much side play in the front suspension.

ok. hope buy then end of july i can have my frame built and the front end mounted and maybe motor and rear end. thanks
