Do I Need Rear Shocks if I have Leaf springs?

My rear shocks are bottoming out since I put on new leafs. The shocks are now bottoming out since the ride is smoother and the frame now sits lower.
can I remove my rear shocks and just rely on my new leafs?

Your shocks may be bottoming, but they are still dampening your spring. With no shocks you will be bouncing all over the place. Get shorter shocks or modify you shock mounts. Just to convince yourself, take the shocks off and drive over some bumpy road. That will explain it to you better than any one here.

Thanks Bill, thats what I wanted to know!
I have the shortest shock avail, so I will have to relocate my mounts.

Rick may I suggest that you check the full working range of motion before you order the shocks. This way you won't over extend or bottom out. JMO.....ruggs

You might be surprised what is out there what are the measurements eye to eye on the closed shock.
