Electric fan vs engine-mounted fan

Actually it had a belt driven fan air clutch controlled.

Hey....now that would've been cool lookin' there........I have a restored 91' dodge 1-ton dually, extended cab, with a Western Hauler bed on it.
I've got a twin turbo setup on it.....I've got some really big pipes coming out from under the hood with all that exhaust wrap.....but to beat the heat.......I've got (2) CO2 spray heads mounted, 1 spraying the radiator then outside temp gets REALLY HOT........like sitting in the desert at a redlight with the air going, pulling a big trailer.........and the intercooler starts spraying when the exhaust temp starts to really shoot up.

I've actually had people start running from that big black dodge ram spraying big white clouds o stuff out the front end.......My windows are jet black so I really get a firstclass ticket sometimes....they think its gonna blow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol:

I like PUTZ is the reason i give him a hard time.

going to have to agree with Don, Spal is the best, the more CFM of course the better its going to cool, It will our perform and pulley mounted fan regardless of the blades. But also if it works for you in 100 degree and 110% humidity then don't waste your money in less you like the looks. As the ol saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it.:) But i can tell you one thing running 2 huffers on top of a 600 ci motor i wish i had 5 electric fans and 2 pulley fans. Running 1 blower is like running 3 A/C units in your personal driver.

Yea NasT, on the really high Perf. blower systems.....we do just like in the old days......we just tap into the front of the heads and run our radiator hoses in...........but when you do that, you play hell with the location of your accessories! Low mounted alternators and electric waterpumps are almost a must in those circumstances!

Looking thru Teds photos.......I thought I saw one of his routed in that fashion.....:D

People do not realise that you can over drive the stock water pump as much as you need, smaller pulley on the pump and larger on the crank, this makes more air and water at low RPM. now if you are a racer, this may be too fast for you... I am at the point in life where cruisin is great with me, don't have to prove I can beat anything any more... Love to ride easy... no worries that way either, no lookin in the mirror for the big RED one.. hehe :)
