Then had to deal with the usual little issues that only make themselves known in use. Shes not fully there yet but much better now and a real blast to drive.
Put over 200 miles on her Sunday cruising all over with some friends. Excellent times!!! Heres a few pics...hope you like it. :D More changes coming over the winter! LoL

Nice car and it won't be long until it is cold up there so get some more miles done soon......I like it......:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yeah, it's getting pretty cold now and was cold Sunday for the cruise. We wore hoodies inside some thick jackets, toques and mechanic gloves. The guys thought we were froze but it wasn't bad at all really. The big issue was it was extremely windy that day and about half the time we were doing 60-70 mph so you get well blasted! LoL
I SHOULD have turned the camera at that last pic location and took a picture of the HUGE mountain of salt on the other side of the road. I'd guess its the height of two telephone poles and covers a big area. Thats ONE YEAR'S worth of road salt for the city. Next time I'm down that way I'll grab a pic and post it here. No wonder cars don't last if driven in the winter around here!

The car looks great! Out having fun is what it's all about. I'm getting as much in as I can before the snow flies too, lol. The salt use here is crazy too. The roads are so white sometimes it looks like Bonneville! Enjoy and keep those pics coming.

BTW, how do you like the short windshield? I was going to go with a short one like that but ended up with a 13" tall one because I was worried about getting wind blasted in the face...

Great looking car. Still trying to figure out that first photo.

Looks like it was taken through the rear view mirror of a car ahead of them...I'm gonna say that Chevy parked behind him on the street. And it looks like the Chevy was behind a Subaru...

That is what I thought at first Bob. But, I even tried that with a mirror, and nope. My guess is the photo got mirrored before posting. Going to give that a try.. These things drive me nuts..nuttser?
Lee
PS Ok, photo was flipped. I luv photoshop.

My windshield height has a vertical measurement at the center of the cowl of 9" and it is laid back approximately 20 degrees in relation to the cowl. I have many miles and smiles on my car as you can see by the photos below.

I might also add that it also keeps my hair blown back out of my eyes. LOL

Fitzees lady took the pic in the car mirror...didn't even notice it was flipped when I posted it!
Sorry for all the confusion! LoL
The short windshield is just high enough to scoot most air just over your head...but the wind was so intense and erratic Sunday that it didn't help much.
I'm THINKING I may put a short top on the car, but if I do I will need some extra windshield...and frame...and a wiper...and who knows what else to make it all work. Guess thats why I'm thinking about it instead of doing! Hahaha
I really like not having a top so whatever I come up with will have to be quickly removable and preferably stowable on the car so I can pop it on only if needed.
I'm flirting with the idea of some sort of "Bikini top" to the roll bar like the 4 by guys use, but with an additional cross bar to kick the canvas higher over your head like the common T top.
Still in the dream stages yet...

Wow...thanks guys! Really appreciate that people seem to like it!
Fitzee did the major rebuild (to a late 70's show bucket) around 15 years ago that gave it the longer wheelbase, 27 style cowl and very low seating position.
For the last year I've been changing things and adding/subtracting bits to make it MY version of T.
I've made a lot of changes without recreating the entire car because it really isn't necessary.
I fit good in it and the basic car is totally at home on the highway etc for long distance driving.
Did a lot of work to the rear area
and the body this past year and over the winter I intend to make some changes ahead of the firewall for ground clearance and to get the Ackerman straightened out.
Time for new kingpins and rod ends too.
Just massaging the little things...LoL

Heres a pic of the rear showing the 3" lowered body lip, lowered gas tank, the roll bar I made up and the Model A crossmember and tail lights I added. My little third brake light is a LOW AIR warning jewel from an early 18 wheeler. Notice that tow hitch receiver?
Gets used every summer on long road trips! :D

Great work. I really like it!
I have a tow hitch as well. I want to build a small trailer some day. Not much storage in these cars.:whistling:
