A friend at the local GM dealership dropped off a free can of rust penetrant a wile back for me to try out. with serious doubts I finally got around to trying it out last week on a 3/8 bolt that was rusted into a cast iron block, and even with my utmost caution I had twisted off the top of the bolt. I sprayed it down with this product and left for the weekend. this morning when I came in I easily removed the broken remains with vise grips. it came out so easily I'm sure I could have used regular pliers.
I've used PB Blaster, kroil, ATF and acetone, and quite a few snake oil mixtures in a can, but I've NEVER seen one that worked like this stuff. I'm stocking up, as anything that works this good is bound to be taken off the shelf soon.
GM Rust Penetrant and inhibitor (heat valve lubricant). part # 188862627
Cheers,
Russ
