Well got the steering in today and got the fuel lines connected . Decided what the heck lets try it. When i put it in gear and she jumped forward and left 6 foot of rubber on the garage floor well i cant quite grinning.

COOL! Congrats, Rooster! Now....... do the dance!:)

I am still grining cant seem to stop. Also my interior is in town at the freight company but they are not open on the weekend. And i got to travel for a couple of days next week. Oh well no sense in getting in a hurry now.

congrates rooster...what a feeling huh....i can still remember my first one with that grin on my face and that was in '65!!!!!

Ron

OH what a feeling!!!! Have fun from now on

It's alive!!! Great work Rooster. Is that a stainless steel u-joint going to your steering box? I almost tried one of those, but was not sure about the system it used to secure to the shaft (clamping).

So, um, did you take it around the block? You know, just a slow speed mini shake down to see if everything was o.k. type of short drive. Kinda like Fred`s first cruise. Was the sun out? The MAN no where to be found. You can tell us, we are family, we won`t tell anyone else. We promise.

My first car was a 1930 2dr sedan. Didn`t have a license, drove it to the end of the driveway and then backed up to the garage, lots of times. Congrats, John.

It is almost better than sex, when you hit the pedal on your bucket for the first time. Hell, even the second, third, and fourth time, at my age!!
