Ford 4.6 Quad Cam engine

Hi guys, I just bought a 4.6 quad cam engine down here for NZ$300 (about US$240.) Its all there including the injection and computer but will need a rebuild. I understand that its a short stroke version of the 5.4 quadcam that Ford used in Australia.

What do I need to know? It came out of a taxi from American Samoa as its trans failed - engines done about 100,000 miles apparently. If its really shagged I guess I can turn it into a coffee table

Then can be an impressive motor, but like all Ford products they change things in almost every years production so there can be "challenges". check here for your every answer however. best quad cam info site
