Hey folks,
I have a Speedway kit with the front spindle and 'cycle tires. Has anyone done a swap to a bolt pattern for wider tires. Is there a ready made kit? Any help is appreciated!

Sorry to take so long getting back. Been at the coast! I am looking at the same kit and I have the same problem under acceleration. Will likely wait until the winter to pull it apart. Let me know how it works out and any sticky points you find!TEE43
I have same thing and do not like the handling on acceleration. Have looked at kits and if you have those 37-41 ford spindles I see conversion kits 200-300, then you need new brake lines and wheels and tires. I am thinking about doing this also to see how it handles then.

Is that typical of all motorcyle tires or is this something that could be fixed with a different wheel tire combination but still spindle mount?
In my case, it's fine in a straight line. I would prefer more grip (front end pushes) when cornering. I still love the look of the cycle tire and will likley leave it alone. You just are having other handling problems, as the tire will work fine, I ran them for years myself, and still have spindle mount front 12 spoke wheels... Just how is the car being evil???
Btw, my push might be due to the 427 Chevy between those skinny tiresYou just are having other handling problems, as the tire will work fine, I ran them for years myself, and still have spindle mount front 12 spoke wheels... Just how is the car being evil???
When cornering your tires will be totally out of control, because you have the tie rod out front, no Ackerman, will anybody ever learn, without Ackerman and only a few special built steerings will allow for enough adjustment to get the Ackerman close to right, and still the tie rod SHOULD be in the rear to be totally correct... Drive in a straight line only...Btw, my push might be due to the 427 Chevy between those skinny tires
