Well, I have a little over 1000 fun miles on my T. One thing I have learned that I would like to pass on to anyone contemplating one of these projects is....buy a body with a door! I have no trouble getting in and out but my wife has to use a step stool. I may have to put a door in sometime in the future.

My rear wheel was a little farther forward than yours but i jumped up on it, put my hand on the back of the body and stepped in the car.

Mine is low enough so I can swing my leg over the body lip and climb in that way.

That's what I do too with no problem but the wife has short legs.

My short wife just climbs right over the side....She also said that if she needs a door then she will just stay home, I sure hope that don't happen for a long time...……..When I put the new body on the Yelot a couple years ago I offered her a door and she said No, but she would like a step so now the car has steps....I just go along for the ride...….LOL...…...

My rpm big boy body has a door on the passengers side. I plan to make the drivers side door functional too.

Honestly, when I had my old T Bucket, watching a young lady climb in was a treat. Some even needed a hand. But having a door in my present build is a huge pleasure. I tried climbing over the drivers side and it was a minor struggle, but a struggle none the less.

I had a 61 Vette when I was 19-20 yo and loved opening the door for my date !!!

At 64 I'm still jumping on the rear tire, hope I can keep it up for many years to come!

I purchased a westward angle finder from e-bay. I also purchased another rear suspension from Ron Pope.

I'm going to use a transverse rear spring. I bought everything i'll need to install it. I also bought another pair of hairpin brackets.

Better have a good soft seat. Go with coil overs might be better. Maybe you are going for looks?

The rear tranverse spring will help keep the rear end centered ( from side to side ).

Pan Hard bar will work with coil overs.

In case you don't know there is a specific installed length for your spring so that it does work to center the rear as it should ( you'll need a spring spreader)
