I bought a grill shell from speedway. It is the stock / unpainted shell (28 - 29) #911-22101. I am looking for proven ideas for a grill that fits in the inside. Aluminum oe stainless is preferrd. Any help will be appreciated.

Here is about the best picture I have of a '27 that belongs to a friend of mine. He used a simple woven wire mesh for his grill. I could probably get a source if you like.

I used a high carbon (stiff) expanded metal on mine. available in stainless also.

That is the look that I was going for. A source would be nice and - How did he fasten it to the shell?

The source that he used was Speedway. It is a '28-'29 Model A Radiator Stone Guard part# 911-22151 for $119.98. It is designed to be mounted on the outside of the grill shell but he said that it was quite easy to mount it inside between the radiator a grill shell.
