I am that guy! I HATE the cold, If it's not at least seventy degrees, I don't like to go outside. I was born and raised for sixty-two years in northeast Ohio and upon retirement I headed to Florida! I finished my T in Florida and installed a heater. I've not regretted one minute on that decision. Call me a chicken or whatever but I'm WARM!
Its an "auxiliary" heater thats pretty small, I do not know just how much heat it would put out in an open car. Though, if you have a blanket sealing things, it might do just fine.

I'm with you, EX. When it drops below 70 I'm looking for a jacket or a windbreaker or something. I'll take the heat over the cold anytime. I've lived in San Diego for the last 50 years and though it doesn't get cold here often at least I never complain when it's warm.
My wife and I have heated motorcycle vests (we ride a Goldwing) and I wired in some plugs that would allow us to use them in the T. She uses her's all the time, but I find a good leather MC jacket with insulated liner works OK for me most of the time. I did use the vest a couple of years ago when we drove the T to Tupelo, MS for a weekend show. That's right at 300 miles one way for us. It was 38* when we left and the heated vests under our coats kept us toasty!
The blood thinners that I take had the opposite effect on me that they have on most other folks. I was always very cold natured and now the cold doesn't seem to get me as bad. I don't know why other than to guess that my circulation has improved with thinner blood??? What I hate about thinner blood is that I bleed like a stuck hog with the slightest scrape or cut. Sometimes I'll look down and have blood dripping off my hand from some minor nick that I barely felt.
Back on topic, I would take a serious look at the heated MC stuff. Ours is ancient compared the the new stuff. You can literally be covered from the top of your head to the soles of your feet(including gloves)and most of it plugs together so you need only one wire to the car. The new gear uses almost no power either compared to the old stuff.
