Lets try it again
Hello from Northern IL. Was planning to build new but IL DMV red tape scared me off. Now looking for a previously titled IL purchase. New to buckets but have had many muscle cars. I have been reading the forum but never posted here before now.
Welcome from New Hampshire. I hear what you a saying about the purchasing a T-Bucket from the state you plan to register/title in. I purchased mine from a gentleman in Maine but the car was one of the first 10 registered under the NH street rod registrations way back when. Mine now has both Maine & New Hampshire VIN numbers. That was a big plus when I purchased it. The guy I purchased it from was intricate in the legislation that yielded street rod registrations in New Hampshire, so I felt very comfortable in the purchase.
Good luck in your quest and keep us posted.
welcome from north central il. ...too bad you got scared by the process , yea, i've heard all the horror stories ,but I've also heard from guys who weren't trying to cut corners and kept all the paperwork that it went pretty well , considering this is il....land of crooked politicians..
