If you don't have one yet, how about buying one already finished?
Mine is for sale. I tried for a while,to sell it last year. No luck. Look in the classifieds. You will find it there. It needs some work as it is a 30+ year old build. If you buy one complete you have all of the parts. You could disassemble it, redo the paint, chrome, etc. and make it how you want. Take a look.
