With the rings you can turn the screw with welding gloves on. Its a great way to store them too.

I'm trying to get Becky out this weekend, for a rod run.

i have 4 grips with rings on them. i sometimes get my 3/16" and 1/4" in large pieces. i use them for lifting the sheet metal with the cherry picker.

In my younger days when i installed AC instead of fab work, we tied a rope to them to pull material up to roofs.
