I posted this on the NTBA site, I am copy and paste here also.

Here is a little suggestion for cell phone users. In your Cell Phone Book input the heading " I.C.E. ". Stands for " In Case of Emergency " - save the number of your emergency contact. Emergency personnel are being trained to look for it in your phone if you have an emergency - E.R. folks are being told also. Do it now ! - maybe needed today.

Most newer cell phones already have it programed in, you just have to add the number you want called. The smart phones let you save the contact info too.

My phone has "AAA Arlene (wife)". It is the first number first number when you open the list. I did it that way because I like traveling by motorcycle. Along with keeping my ID in my boot.

Well I will be the bad guy on this one, not meaning to but I have to. It is not a good practice anymore to do such. As a seasoned LEO I have heard and seen where criminals will use your own phone to call your wife or who ever you have as an emergency contact and make up stories. Criminals know the tip and will use it in a bad way. Here we had a subject take anothers phone and call and said that the husband was in a wreck near such and such and that they may need to get there soon. As the subject did they were robbed. I just wanted others to know that it can be a bad thing too. The tip was big years ago when I first got into Law Enforcement but later was changed. Sorry just my 2cents

Just have the number of the cell provider in your wallet and/or at home with your wife so if your phone is snatched you can get it shut down ASAP.

Guess I will just go down to the Veterinarian and get a chip implant.
