This is all happening much faster than I thought it would I really hadn't even planned on working on it untill my other car was done but I am in a waiting for parts lull with the other car so I started playing with the bucket.
The right front brake locks up really easy (4 wheel drum) any ideas on why?
Anyway enjoy the video. I've watched it twice already.

TOO COOL! That one dog looks like he wants to take a bite out of front wheel.

Have you tried adjusting that one brake? Odd that only one would lock up.

Let the GOOD times begin !!! fun aint it ,,

I like the comment someone in the background made, that the dogs don't think it's a REAL car. Surprisingly, there's a lot of people, who are the same way.

Sounds like the adjuster is to tight on the one brake. Here is how I used to adjust mine. They only self adjust in reverse!!

Loosen up the adjusters, put the car in reverse move a few feet, step on the brakes, do this a few times until all the wheels lock up at the same time (have a buddy watch you)

Of course I know this worked on my old camaro, but it should work with yours. I am sure someone will pipe in and shoot me down if I am wrong!

I agree with Keeper. If they are self adjusting, that's the way to do them. Check your shoes too. It's real easy to put them in wrong. Don't ask how I know.

If the brakes are self adjusting be sure to check the adjustment hardware. The arms ratchet over the adjustment wheels and will wear over time. Replacement parts are usually cheap. Also, there is usually a right and left adjuster. If you have the wrong one in the wrong side, it will work backwards.

If you have the older Ford brakes (pre 49), they will have to be adjusted by hand. I think I have a link to the adjustment procedure on my home computer (I'm at work right now). I'll look if you need it.

An out of round drum can also cause a wheel to lock.

If the drums have been turned, the shoes may not be fitting the radius of the new diameter. Since almost no one rearcs(sp?) shoes anymore, you may just have to let them wear in.

I agree with Ted put smaller shoes in the front also check if any fluid or grease is on the shoes they will lock up Check shoes are on right small versus long.Nothing like that first ride.

GOOD GOIN'! When I told my wife you had it running she told me I gave up to soon! You may have rust on the rt. ft. drum, use it a little around the yard and see if at clears up. Also you may have wheel bearing problems. I think I would do a break job to be safe. What master cylinder did you end up using?

Congratulations
Hope you get the brakes working...
Notice the color of my text? Green with envy.

Fred. I would like to think that the dogs are smarter than some folks and they realize it's not only real but a real blast. They want a ride!

cool vid rad ... great smile maker!!!

Yea the dog loves it. If he's in the house and I start it he comes to the window.:)
I took the wife for a ride and she digs it too.
I dug into the brakes some today I'll be making a post about that in the brake section with the hopes some of you smart guys can help me.
Thanks
