I need help identifying a set of gauges.

I recently bought a set of "old school" hot rod gauges on the hope that there would be some kind of identification on them that would lead me to some kind of hook up info. No such luck.

They're different, and I really like the look of them. I would still love to be able to use them. By any chance would anyone here know where these things are from?

Thankfully I only have $15 tied up in them.

Any idea what voltage they operate at? If I had to guessing 12 volt.
Is the oil pressure electrical ? get your self a variable resistor say 0 to 500 ohm take the center terminal and the terminal to its left with adjusting shaft pointed at you. This will be your sending unit. On the gauges one terminal will be for the sending unit the other is connected to a switched 12V. connect the resistor (left terminal to the gauge) the center terminal to ground. apply 12V to other gauge terminal.
Adjust resistor until gauge reeds full scale. Measure the resistance between center contact and left contact. this is the resistance ov the sender at full scale. Say it's the fuel gauge and 90 ohms makes full scale your sender would be 0_90 ohms or late gm.
If you have any questions send me a pm.

They look like the Classic Gauges that Napa used to carry about 15 years ago....look on the back or the small print on the faces.....they should let you know who manufactured them. Also, copy down any numbers.
Getting the ohms right isn't a biggie, just take your time, with a multi tester and a few items from radio shack, you'll know what you'll need. The fuel sender will probably give you the most trouble.....
Just clean them up good, and take your time....

They look awfully familiar. Seems like I have seen them in a stock vehicle from the factory.

Well, I found their origin...they are from a 1961-64 D100 or D200 truck. I've been told that they are SW gauges, and I've found an SW speedo repair kit on ebay for those Dodge trucks. Unfortunately I've not been able to find any kind of Identifying marks , letters, etc to verify their SW origin. The oil pressure gauge is mechanical.

Now I need to figure out if there is a way to hook them all up to my GM 60V6 and 700R4.

Well, since you don't show a tach, the temp and oil pressure, you could always buy a cheap 3 ga, kit to get all your adapters....or just go to your local Autoparts store that still has a hardcore parts guy, he could fix you up. I find volt ga.'s better than amps....but thats a std. elect. hookup.
They make adapters to mate the older speedo gauges to the 700R's.

Cool! I've never seen the speedo adapters, but I'll be looking.
