i know i'm one of the older members and haven't posted much in the years i've been here. a few years back my wife had to leave her job to take care of her parents, so things got slow on the roadster, then hours cut at work it has been tough. the roadster has been stored away while i was tring to get everthing to build a shop to work in, well a carport i got for my father in law has been laying on the ground for a few months , then he says he didn't want to use it, so now i have it. maybe i can get started on it again soon.

Let the building begin !!!!!At least you got to keep yours I had to sell mine. Damn economy

Nice Job! Are you going to pour the floor or just gravel it? Buy some outdoor wiring and bury it now before you get too far along. I am sure at some point you will want some light, while you sit spend those late hours with some of your favorite past times.

Check into an asphalt floor, it's a lot cheaper than cement. It,s not as durable as cement but it will be just fine to build a t on.

putz sorry to hear you had to sell, we don't have much work going right now, but hoping.

railroad i'm going to run emt and wire it for lights, welding machine and compresser. did you make the cruzin on the square in jasper?

francis and railroad i'm thinking about crushed stone for the floor, when that stuff sets it like concrect.

fordsbyjay i have had mine covered up in the carport on the house, when the tornados came through last year it really got covered up as most of the daughters stuff is in my carport, we can't even get a car in there.

all-world1 i got it for my father in law to park his town car under, after it layed on the ground for about 6 months he said he didn't want to go that route, so i brought it home. i got it for 300.00 from some old friends. it is 20"x18" i added the decking on the sides and trying to decide what to use on the ends and doors. i hate to use up all my tin before i can build a bigger shop.

good idea.....I didn't realize that the sides weren't included in the original kit. When it's all closed in and insulated, what a perfect size for a build

was sick all last week and weekend, i hope to be back on the garage this weekend. still coughing but feeling better. uncovered the roadster and can't wait to get started on it again. found out one of my ol navy buddies will be coming down for a visit this coming summer, i sure would like to take him for a ride. so heres hoping.
