Local transmissions for sale

Well, this is a question for the local Texas Boys(Dallas/Ft.Worth). I'm installing a 300HP 350, and going to use a TH350 tranny. I like Jegs, but would really like to spend less money and not have to pay shipping. Can you guys recommend a tranny shop locally where I can pick one up at a reasonable price?

Give Lewisville Transmission a call ... Lewisville TX ... ask for Tim. I am going up to Aero Country tomorrow and I'll ask the guys up there (they build streetrods, mostly Ts)if they got one laying around.

Hey, thanks. I appreciate that.

Try these guys: http://www.phoenixtrans.com/

They're in Weatherford Tx.

or

http://fortworthtransmissionsupply.com/ in Ft Worth.
GT 63,

Living in that area for a number of years I can tell you that the Phoenix guys had gotten pretty pricy and a little arrogant. I know of several shops that quit dealing with them. Maybe with the economy being tougher they have adjusted their sales attitude. Perhaps someone here on the 'bucket forum has had recent dealings with them.

Might try Transmission Headquarters, it's about a mile East of the shop on Lancaster. 817-451-0262. Maybe they have a good used one. Then we have La Grave Swap Meet the 16th and Pate the end of the month.

Thanks, I will check on these places.

Grant, are you going to be at that car show over at Bass Pro Shop tomorrow?

No sir, won't be at Bass Pro Shops. This spring I'll be buidling a new engine and re-wiring the T. I hope to get started pulling it apart tomorrow.
I will be going out to Pate at the Speedway end of this month.
