Mustang rearend

Does anyone know what size rearend is in a 2003 Mustang 8.8 or what I know it is 62" wide, Is it worth cutting down

62inches in mustang sounds wide..

I thought mustang rears were from 57-59 1/2 inches wide..

Anyway. 62 inches wide will work in a T, especially if your going to run wide wheels and tires

No, those 8.8 rears were wider than the old 1968 ish ones we all used. Strong, but wide and not particularly attractive IMO. Also lots of brackets to cut off to clean them up.

If you are going to buy one I would suggest geting one out of a 1990 or later Ford Explore
They are the same width 8.8 but you can get one with disc brakes and a trac lock and they are the larger 32 spline I got mine for $250 and they took it out !
