My accident pics.

Well, an EMS driver took pics at the scene of my accident and emailed me the pics. They look a lot worse than I remember and I'm sick to my stomach and pissed off more than I was. I hope things go well when I talk to my insurance company and the lawyer tomorrow.

Carnage. Looking at the tranny case, it looks cracked.

Notice how the steering wheel is bent and pushed forward, it kept me from flying out.

Crap, I don't even want to look at it in person tomorrow. All I can do is hope the frame isn't bent, but this doesn't look good.

frame looks pretty good from here. and really there isnt much weight behind the motor to cause the frame to bend anyways. if the motor had stayed put THEN maybe the frame would have bent, follow the reflection of the driver side frame rail from the front to the firewall .... seams to line right up with where the frame should be under the body

im sure someones got a empty t350 case you can have, ive got a new V8 emblem for ya (old style in steel or possibly new style in stainless)

im sure the community can come together and put you 90% whole again

I don't know. I need to see it in person. I'm going to bed now. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I kinda wish I hadn't checked my email tonight. I really didn't need to see these tonight.

OUCH!!!! That Hurts!!! I wish I could provide more than moral support for you, for now though, at least you are alive to be pissed off. You built it, and you can fix it. Obviously not what you wanted to do with your time, but...................

Like all others have said its a good thing that your alright (at least phyicaly) but don't bend over on this one. It's not just the cost of the T but your time to put it together and that inculdes time spent looking for the best deals not just assembly. Again could be worse but it is bad.Randall

You should have it when you talk to your lawyer.Keep in touch with the witness.

Wow Fred, I didn't think it was going to be as bad as it appears after I saw the first pic you posted a few days ago.

BUT

It could be worse and you might not realize that right now. It most certainly could be worse.

It can be fixed, this can be resolved in some way, form, or manner.

You're doing ok right now physically though right?


I know emotionally we're all saddened by this.

wow, that front end twisted up like a noodle. Thankfully it did as it absorbed most of the force. At least you are ok, these cars arent the safest so anytime one gets wrecked and the driver walks away is a good thing.

I'd say off hand the frame is bent. In that first pic its looks to me it is bent forward of the headlight post. Might be an optical illusion but I'd say with a headon hit the front rails and crossmember is screwed.

Just be like the Six Million Dollar Man - "We can rebuild it better than before".

I was thinking about this... clearly this accident was not your fault and the city is going to have to completely restore your car... I would find yourself a really good and reputable hot rod shop, have the car taken there and have them fix it on the city's dime... you'll be on the road a lot faster!
