Need pulleys

I am feeling a vibration and when I looked at the bottom pulley it has a wobble to it. I tried to fix it but also found it is eggd too. I am running a long water pump with the alt. on the upper passenger side. I am looking for a set of pulleys steel or otherwise. Money is real real tight so can't buy the Aluminum ones yet. Mainly I just want to make sure that is my vibration.

P.S. It is a single grove but will take what ever I can. 327 SBC

ACE i had a double for long WP i will look tomorrow and see if i still have it if i do its yours.

If you just want to check it, take the pulley off and just run it up and down the street with no belt or pulley. Do it with the engine cold. It will let you run it a mile or so before it gets warm.

Since I'm a Chief Engine Mechanic, Welder/Fabricator for the racing community.....when I was in the lower classes......sometimes we had to go scavaging when parts were scarce.......about the only place you can get pulleys of any type are Salvage yards.
Mostyards these days only go back 10 or 15 years cause they don't want to hold a vintage inventory..........find yourself like a mom & pops salvage......you'll know cause you'll see some older detroit iron over in the weeds........take along a good sharp knife and a small socketset.....pull several and comparethem and match up the one you need.

One thing bothers me though.......you said you felt a vibration. having a pulley bent ain't usually gonna cause that.....cause its still going in a circle....and you haven't changed the mass enough to ...........unless you totally waded it up (Dropped a engine on your pulley).
Make sure it isn't your balancer gyrating insted of your pulley.....I've seen parts of these things bust out and folks have rn them 6 months and totally screwed the engine bearings up.......they're heavy and part of your engine rotating assembly.....they'll cause a really big vib.!!!!...A bent pulley usually just looks ugly.....will sometimes throwyour belt off or eat the bearings of your waterpump or alternater.
I could be wrong......some strange shit happens when all the planets line up or you play with a weegee board........just check things out good!

An be doubly careful that you don't ever put any externally balanced smallblock parts on your engine.........1oz. placed about 5 inches off crank centerline spinning at 5000 RPM equals to 875 LBS. of force fighting agianst smooth engine rotation.......................just a little tidbit of info, mixing and matching torque converter bolts........or finding your torque converter has lost it counterweight.......etc, etc..........

Does it do it only when rolling or also when parked. The reason I ask is I have had u-joints act like that.

Ace how bout taking a paint marker and put a mark accross the face of the hormonic balancer start it stab the throttle a few times then look to se if you notice any movement in rotation. Is the rubber swelled up on the Balancer, hard and cracked????? Just a thought. Could you have lost a beight off the flex plate or the torque convertor??? you can take the TC bolts out and spin her up and see if its behind the FP just thinkin out loud. PS i tossed the old pullys i had sorry.

It is more like a pulse and vibration combo. It does it at just about any RPM and I really feel it while driving.

Hey....what you described is a big warning sign......if you've changed the converter and now you got a vibe....chances are thats it....unless you've knocked a weight off the ringgear or the converter itself......look it over really good.....bust out a fine tooth comb.......those weights are just tack welded on........also check for mud or dirt on the inside of your pulley if its bent and possibly 1 bolt being longer than the others....that'll also cause a bad vibe...........

we'd really hate to see you mess your engine up or blow something......................

Also....don't think it applys in your case.....but have you done any work to your driveshaft?????? Is it balanced??????Maybe you've lost a weight there.......unless it still does it in Neutral and Park.

When we have a problem like this at the shop.....I sit someone behind the wheel with their hand on the key......we start the car up on the tall jackstands.......put it in gear.....run it to hummmpin' RPM and then we start climbing all over the thing......it'll show you driveshaft vibes, tire problems, bent yokes, trashed harmonic balancers, etc..................Just have a big safety meeting as tell everyone NOT TO GET CAUGHT UP IN THE MACHINERY!!!!!!!!!!

Will this work this is the only bottom pulley I have left?

I just can't help but ask,,, Do you open the garage door,,, just in case???

Sometimes....depends.....see, I'm half deaf, standing up under the glass with the engines on those AA/FC's.......we had a Fueled Altered in the shop about 3 1/2 weeks ago, had it up on jackstands bringing the rearend up to temp.......so we could check the wear pattern on the gears....it got to bouncing around....this kid there in the shop sitting behind the wheel.....just a grinning.......i reached over and blipped the throttle really heavy....you should've seen the look of terror in his eyes when about 2500 horses was begging to be turned loose.............of course before I did that I put a floorjack under the center pumpkin.

The jackstands we use aren't the cheap walmart variety....these are highly modified so the round tubing can't jump off, and the bases are super wide just for running the cars on top of them..........

Rooster I will try the marks on the Balancer and see what I see. Scream..I put a new Flexplate on the car when I 1st started feeling the vibration thinking it was bent. Well that didn't help. I will even try sliding the converter back and start it up to see if it stops. I just don't know if it'll have enough room between the crank and the TQ for it not to spin it. it only slides back very little. Putz..let me try the last suggestions to see if that helps. If not then I'll see what you want for the pulley and how to get it. Thanks for finding one.
