Hi guys, my name is Jason and I am currently undertaking my first build project. I picked up a 1927 roadster project that someone else had started years ago and then was passed around a few times before it found its way to me. I joined the site after finding out about it through a parts supplier who had it linked on his website. My project needs alot of work and alot of things fixed the PO screwed up on. I am well aware of this and if I ever post pics please understand everything is being addressed as time allows. I am here to gain some insight into the varying parts and engineering that goes into making a safe fun driver. This will be my second attempt at joining a site dedicated to these kind of vehicles. The first one didnt work out after its members couldnt differentiate between giving me suggestions and giving me personal opinions on how "crappy" my project was. After I commented on the issue, the sites owner felt it best that we part ways. Hopefully this is a more understanding forum. A little bit more about myself, I am from just outside columbus, ohio. I have been into all sorts of cars and motorcycles since I could drive. previous vehicles have include a 1964 impala, and the first car I built, a 1971 chevelle. I enjoy getting to the lake and spending time with my wife and 3 kids whenever possible. I guess that pretty much sums it up, and thanks for having me.

Please allow a former "Buckeye" to welcome you to this site. I think that you will find this group very friendly and nonjudgmental but MOST of all helpful. The owner of this site, Mike, does not stand for any unruliness.

Welcome to the site Jason, I can guarantee you this place is nothing like the last one you were on. The only thing you're going to have to put up with will be the nagging for pictures.

Welcome :hi:

Welcome from Wisconsin. We on here will usually only comment negatively on something that is not safe. Remember post pics.

Jason,

Welcome from sunny California. I believe you will like this forum and if you have any chassis questions, allow me to defer to Ted. Ted has built chassis for 43 years and knows what works and is safe. He also drives what he builds and has over 200,000 miles on his bucket. Engines and transmissions are a personal taste, and I can only offer what I like. My Track T has had 3 differant engines, 2 were spec'd by the original owner/builder and both were high strung, high rpm race engines connected to a 4 speed Muncie. The last engine was put in last week and I spec'd it. 383 stroker, RV cam, roller, and still the same 4 speed. I like the low end torque much better than high rpm hp. Just my taste.

Welcome to the site Jason. I am also a Buckeye living just north of Columbus. Send me a private message as I would love to get together and compare notes. I think you will like it here as the site has been very helpful.

Welcome and greetings from the sunny hills of Colorado.

Yup, we like pictures. All in good time as you are comfortable.
