I discussed this with another T builder a while back. This is what I wrote to him.
You mention scaled down. If the body is standard size, you probably want the bed normal size, just shorter.
1925 was the first year for the metal bed, that I've seen.

I'd do like what was shown on Carter's Auto Restyling video. Get thin wall tube and weld it to the top edge after the 45 bend. The tube will keep warping down.
This can be finished to a high standard or tacked and bondo'ed in.
As for the stake pockets at each corner, I could see it being cut and weld like tubing, but I could also see making a hardwood or metal form and heating and bending a flat sheet to it. Same for all 4.
I found a couple wood bed kits, but not metal. It would be cheaper, lighter and to your size to do it at home.
