Try Super Glue, then fill the void with epoxy to make it solid....."BH"

fill it with jb weld it says its good for about 3000 lbs of stress then drill it , i cant vouch for curtting threads in jb weld but i have used it with good results for other repairs

That's a bummer, Rick. But he looks like he'll heal up. Most of the pieces look large enough to glue back. See if he has health insurance and slam the insurance company!
