Norseman, it may not be the same weinermobile you saw, I believe there are 7 of them spread around the country.
 
I saw one at the kansas city zoo years ago, if I remember right the sign said the first one was built on a 1952 buick.

This was in detroit lakes minnesota on the 4th of july....I even have a weenie whistle now!!

A "Wienermobile" is an automobile shaped like a hot dog on a bun that is used to promote and advertise Oscar Mayer products. It was created in 1936 by Oscar's nephew, Carl G. Mayer, and variants are still used by Oscar Mayer today.
