Pinion angle change...

How much is too much, given an approximately 17" drive shaft?

I've been playing with 3 and 4 link alternatives to the 30" radius rods I'd originally been planning on. The radius rod set up gives about an 8.5 degree pinion change over the range of travel. The link setup I'm liking right now gives approximately a 10.5 degree change over the same range of travel.

If I understand you correctly , I think you're over-estimating your range of travel.. generally the rear suspension only moves about an inch up or down [2" overall] which shouldn't give much more than 1/2 a degree change even w/radius [ladder bar] rod control arms.

I'm planning on around 6" of travel from full extension to full compression...setup for about 3.5" of compression travel, and about 2.5" extension.

I know that is more than typical, but I'm hoping to get a bit better ride in general, and less skittishness over less than smooth roads. I'll be going with either 6" travel coil overs or air bags and shocks.
