Rain on Easter

It seems the old saw about rain on Easter bringing rain the next seven Sundays is true. :soapbox:

We had three days last week with temperatures in the high-eighties, this past week. Today, when I was planning to drive down to the Speedway for a day off and a chance to see Here Come the Mummies, we are already at our high temperature of 52° and the 90% forecast of rain looks to be a dead-lock cinch, since it is pouring just the now. So much for a day off, I suppose.

I have another reason for you to go down to the speedway. Way back about 8 years ago I did a frame off restoration of a Model A Roadster and about 4 years ago I sold it to some folks in Waycross GA.

They sent in an entry for the invitation only 250 car show for the 100 year celabration this weekend and that car was invited and is in Indy Thursday, Friday, Saturday & is done today. I have been sent a couple of photos of it at Indy this week. I have attachted one of them.....Proud PaPa........

Even though I sold it I am real proud of the fact that it was chosen to be in that show. I sure would have liked to been there just for that. The owner invited me to come up there but I just could not go this month and then go back through there next month on the way to the NTBA Nats. :kiltdance: :kiltdance: :kiltdance: opcorn:
