I am curious about the different spring styles used and the way they are designed. Basically would like to see some pics of how others have achieved the low look, also what kickup did you use.
I used a T spring and crossmember on my '27 with a 9" kick. That really gets the rear of the car down there.
Getting the car low can be done optically too. If you notice Don's great T has the engine mounted higher than you find in most T's giving more creadence to the lowness of the car.
I was thinking with rectangular crossmember using a perch similar to the way the front suspension, However I do love your frame and the way the rear horns taper.
Ron, great minds think alike. I like the way you did your frame. We also used a model a rear crossmember in the one on the 23 and I think the kickup was something like 16 inches if I recall correctly. But it has been about 6 years since I did it so I forget exactly.
The rear crossmember is from a '27 T. I like to use a T rear spring because it is 2" wide as opposed to an A spring that is 2 1/4' wide, lower spring rate. The A spring works great also, don't get me wrong. Here's an A crossmember with the same type set-up;
This is the one I built for Allworld1 here on the site.
If you look in the tech section you will find how I set-up the A spring to be used with this.
