SBC Oil Pressure Location

I'm using an electric oil pressure gage that has a large canister for the sending unit. Usually I would pull the oil pressure from aside of the distributor on my 400 SBC, but I'm trying to hide the large canister.

Can I pull accurate oil pressure from the pipe plug above the oil filter?
I've attached a photo of the pipe plug I'm talking about.

yes you can or remotely mount it out of sight with a piece of steel braided #4 hose ,a pipe t, 90 or coupler

You can do that, or mount a remote filter setup, and pickup pressure from the remote filter housing. The side of the block is usually good if you have a oil hole there, some do.
They do make smaller oil pressure readers, just have to get one with the correct resistance. OR, run a manual gauge.
