School me on this front end

Any issues with using this front end for my build?

Would those.....wishbones? bolt to a bracket on either side of the frame like radius rods would?

Is it okay with the spring in front?

Issues with the mechanical brakes?

I can pick it up for a great price and will obviously rebuild it. I just want to have an idea of what I'm getting into

Thanks
S.

That axle could be used. It won't work very well with the spring in front, you could move the spring to over or behind the axle. Then you will have to splint the bones. A lot of work, but probably not a lot of money, which would be a good thing.

Right you are - $200. I'm trying to source used parts locally but would honestly like something that doesn't need a full resto first...

I've attached another local option - Chromed out for $325! There are some split wishbones also available locally as well as some spindles for $75. I could probably piece together the entire front end for $700-$800 using that as a base. Trouble with that is all these pieces are all over kingdom come, and still not complete.

I work at sea and don't have tons of time when home so am really trying to make it as painless as possible, while staying in the budget

Looks great! I've set a budget of $1000 for the front end - all in. I can only squirrel a few hundred away every month so breaking the budget on the front end will delay the back end! The non-chrome version is about half the price but I think I've got to go used.

Saw a couple of old axles come up today - $150. Still not as complete as the one I posted above...

I believe Ron at RPM offers a complete front end for $800. I would do my shopping before attempting to jalopy together such a vital part of the car.

He sure does and I've been speaking with him. Waiting for a shipping quote but between that and customs I want to see what else is available.
