Does anyone know where I can buy 10' chrome shocks with Male ends. I'm new to this and I've looked everyplace I can find. Can find all kinds of shocks with male ends on one end.

Check Speedway. They have about everything, especially if you go to their race car and street rod list.

You may not want to consider this, but I have seen the bushing knocked out and a stud welded in. Someone might even make an adapter. If this is on the upper end, outta sight, you might consider it. I think there are some shocks like you want out there. Maybe one of the real parts guys could help. Good Luck,

I have an old (1974) Gabriel shock dimensional data book. Is the 10' (foot ?) dimension extended, compressed, or midpoint of travel? I don't know that this will be of much help due to the age of the info. I would think that the shock manufacturers still provide this info but finding a store that has it will be the trick. I seriously doubt that it will be one of the national brands, maybe a surviving independent.

If you want to fill me in about requirements, I'll see if I can't give you some Gabriel part numbers that might help.

As to finding them already chromed, my guess would be that "it ain't gonna happen".

Thanks I'll keep looking. Hopefully I will find them somewhere. Sorry for the foot miss type.

I might try getting one of these monroe 5819 9.25 compressed 14.24 extended 5826 10.25/16.35 5829 7.125/10.75
and may try chrome paint it seems to have come a long way if sprayed properly.
