Speedway's Customer Service (an oxymoron)

I placed an order on 1-24-11 for two items from Speedway, each useless without the other. The smaller item was shipped, the larger item was back-ordered and I was charged shipping for the entire order. I was told the larger item would be shipped in a couple of weeks. Yesterday after waiting 11 weeks and not hearing from them I called Speedway asking if they had any idea when the rest of my order would ship? The girl I spoke with said that the item was in stock and asked if I wanted them to ship it? DUH!
 
I've always had prompt service from Speedway. But, I have never talked to them on the phone so don't know how good they are in that regard.
 
Sorry to hear of your trouble with Speedway. I have been ordering parts from the for well over 25 years and only had 2 problems with wrong parts. One was my fault and one was their's. Both where cured with a phone call. I really hope you can work this out to your satisfaction.

Yep, me too. Gave me a full refund for a rad neck and cap which had very bad threads on them.

I ordered some items from Speedyway last week and got them the next afternoon.

I returned a couple of items. I mailed them back on Saturday and got the repalcements Monday afternoon.

Most of the items do not indicate the country of origin. That is against FTC rules and popular among many companies these days.

However, we don't have much of a Federal Goverment anymore except in size and cost.

Stuff happens and I would not want to condemn anyone for a simple error. I, along with many others, have had nothing but great service from Speedway.
