Spirit Body Question

Can somebody with a Spirit body and insert measure from the back of the seat insert where the butt hits the seat to the closest point of the gas pedal?
I've been looking for a Spirit body up here in the pacific northwest to sit in and no luck. I need to make sure there is enough leg room in there before I choose a body.

Thanks

Steve

Which Spirit body? I have a Spirit 27T body. Car is shown on the photo page at the top of the home page. I can measure that for you.

Where are you in the North west? I have a Spirit 23 in Bend , Oregon. If you are near there, you can come set in mine and check out the fit.

Interested in the 23. Bend is 8 hours away for me but thanks for the invite.

sstock, I was going to measure my Spirit for you last night and forgot. But just as a point of reference, I have fairly short legs (30" inseam) and I find the seat to pedal spacing a little cramped, especially for my left leg. When I get my upholstery done, I'm going cut out the insert in the area directly behind my butt and back to gain that 2" or so of extra space for the upholstery.

Thanks Lee. I have 30" inseem too so this more than answers the question for me. Again your T looks killer. I wonder why Spirit doesn't offer an extended body, their glass work looks second to none after the insert is all glassed in, just needs a bit more room.

I think Spirit bodies are about 4" longer than say "Total" or Speedway. I know they are comfortable!

Thanks for the replies guys. I've looked at countless Spirit bodies and they definitely look really good and high quality and thick. I wish they made a slightly stretched version though. Maybe I'll contact them on this.

As far as inserts go, I would myself, make my own to fit what I want for my own comfort, many stock bucket seats fit in perfectly, but the baks need to be thinner, so that they can also sit the seat part closer to the back of the body for more leg room... I have found that most inserts take up too much room, and that makes for wasted space... :)
