WHAT A FEELING

bought a chassis and body kit from total performance back in july 2007 last nite bled the brakes and installed the drive shaft, gave her a once over ,fired her up and out the garage i went! never drove a t bucket, always wanted one since i was a kid. man WHAT A FEELING! looking through that windshield hearing the rumble of the pipes putting up the drive way. the car felt so smooth steering and suspension .i burped it one time and felt enough power for me! THE WORST PART AND THE BEST PART OF THE EXPERIANCE IS DAD PASSED AWAY AND THATS HOW I WAS ABLE TO FINISH THE CAR WITH WHAT HE LEFT ME THE BEST PART WAS I FELT HIM SITTING IN THE CAR WITH ME AS WE BOTH TOOK THAT FIRST RIDE TOGETHER .............I MISS YOU DAD

Sorry to read that he passed.
I'm sure your dad would be very happy for you to have it finished.
Gee... such mixed emotions. Enjoy the ride. Each time will come with a flood of memories.
My dad passed 13 years ago this month. Now mom is just out of the hospital with who knows how long.

Life is what happens between each crisis. We need to remember to enjoy it while it's "good".

Sorry to hear that he passed my dad passed away 2 years ago in January. Are you going to have some pinstriper put some thing about him on the bucket somewhere?

Hey Glen,

I can tell you from experience that that was not the last time you will feel your fathers presence. The best thing I have found about being in my 50's is the peace that you feel as you begin to understand what life is really all about. The sad thing about this age is that the people that were your mentors in life begin to pass on. Hang in there and do what you can to be an example for someone else & know that one day you will be with dad again.

Very cool Glenn, I know the feeling. I inherited my T from my Dad. I helped him build her in the late 80's then it sat for years as he took care of my mom and them he got sick. I actually took him in his urn on the first ride. Now I have found he is always with me in her.
