Ummm, you did good with it. It isn't what I would do or want. Sometimes I think these are such simple cars that too much is put into making them different. You got skills! keep using them.

Well, I think that they will turn out to be waaay to heavy, and will end up breaking your windshield frame at the mounting point. I found that even with mine, 5/16th" solid rod with 3/8" Brass tubing over that, I had to mount the forward end with muffler rubber hanger washers, hidden with brass soft plugs, to keep them from breaking every so often, and usually at the wrong time... Very embarrassing, and could be very dangerous...

Just a question about your belt setup to your water pump and Alt. Do you get a wine out of it? or is it too narrow to make much sound? Like Blower belts, the tighter they are the louder they wine...

The chain looks good but I personally think that it would look better on a rat rod then on your bucket... In my opinion, its not classy enough for your rod. Could you post a picture of your whole car with the chain so we could get a better perspective of more then just the motor portion?
