    Radiator location

Looks much better. I have to agree with everyone else that it does need to be lowered. Like choppedtop said, maybe a nice little overflw tank up front ,to fill in the extra room in front of the radiator.

Feel like a kid at christmas

Finally got my car registered. It was a major undertaking in the state of Texas. It was a homebuilt frame and the state has a lot of problems with that. I guess they had problems with people building vehicles with poor materials or workmanship, and this caused some injuries in the past. I had to...

    VIN Tag

Texas requies it stamped in the frame. I stamped mine in the frame, just forward of the body on the drivers side. I will probably rivet a plate over it in the near future with the VIN #. If anybody ever quetions it, I can remove the plate and prove to them that it's stamped in the frame.

Feel like a kid at christmas

Yes, I'm going to the show next weekend. Not titled yet that is the next project to take on. I set a goal to have it finished by the Goodguys show. I got the last of the parts I needed for Christmas from my family with a note that said FINISH IT.

Feel like a kid at christmas

Well it has been along time since I have done any updates. Job kept me out of town alot last year, was only home a total of 9 weeks last year. It was very hard to come home and work on the car, after being gone all week. My wife still loves me though, Here are a couple of pictures of my progress...

Feel like a kid at christmas

Well, it has been awhile since I have posted, or made any progress on the car. Wife went back to college, youngest was graduating from high school and my daughter is getting married next month. Needless to say hot rod funds were tied up everywhere else. I drove the car last weekend for the first...

    Fuel Pump

Well, I pulled the pump apart and found the bypass port plugged. It works perfectly now. I would have prefered to run a mechanical fuel pump, but I have a later model engine block.

    Fuel Pump

I have a question for all you smart guys out there. My fuel pump started blowing the 20amp fuse all of a sudden. I'm running a Holley red pump with a holley fuel pressure regulator 12-804, feeding a Edelbrock 1405 600CFM carburetor. The fuel pump is wired in to the ignition side of the ignition...

I'm sure glad we didn't march like that when I was in the military. They wore me out just watching them. HaHa Eric

    Carburetor Flooding

Mike, it is leaking only out of the front vent. The kit was a holley kit. I pulled the needle and seat and checked it and all was okay, so I swapped it with the needle and seat out of the aft bowl, no help. I double checked float hieghts and they were good, also made sure I didn't have a heavy...

    Carburetor Flooding

I started up my car yesterday and I had a few problems. The main question I have is: I have a Holley 600 cfm carburetor, that I rebuilt. I'm running a 97 GPH Free flow electric fuel pump that is preset at 7 psi. I'm running a 90 GPH @ 7 psi fuel filter. The problem I'm havig is that the...
