LarryH.........Camber adjustment on a 65 Vette rearend is done using eccentrics mounted inboard on the lateral strut (control arm). Loosen the lock nut and then rotate the eccentric at the bolt head to move Camber. Tighten lock nut when the adjustment is done. BUT.....1. adjustment must be made with the car on a level surface 2. A slip plate or turnplate must be under the wheel so it's free to move 3. For street use, most guys set Camber so it's about zero (wheel vertical) this will give you the best tire life 4.Changing Camber will also cause Toe on that wheel to change 5. Toe is adjusted by swapping shims at the front of the trailing arm mount. Swapping these shims moves the front of the trailing arm in or out 6. A lot of guys start with about 1/32 - 1/16 inch Toe-in per wheel. These measurements should be made in respect to the centerline of the car so you don't create a "dog track" condition 7. Set Camber on each wheel first, then set Toe
OR......contact a local vette club or car club and ask where/who does quality alignment work for them. A lot of shops that do standard passenger car alignment won't touch street rods. Some will try, but they're not sure what settings to use or what sequence the corrections should be made. Tires are way too expensive to risk mis-alignment.
